    two strange crosses

    Hi
These are another couple of items that I need ID on. They are both quite large at about 3 1/4 inches wide and the same high. There are no fixings. The one on the left looks like fixings removed and the one on the right has two small drilled holes. Are they period pieces or recent items.
    Thanks in advance
    Andy

        Hi
Help!! I was hoping you would not ask. It feels and looks like some form of metal that has split and worn. Its like it has really dried out and cracked taking on the appearance of baked earth.
Sorry, its the best I can do.
        Any ideas?
        Regards
        Andy

I'm stumped to be honest! Unless it was a display piece fixed onto something else. Is it in 3 pieces, separate core etc?

Could it possibly be one of those oversized crosses given at the award ceremony?
Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

I think these have been removed from some sort of war memorial/gravestone.

Hello boy's I'm back!! After more then 2 years exploring the world I'm back in the civillized world. But lets cut to the case: The second one looks pretty familiar to me. At that time it was found that the cross was made of the german sustitude of chocolat. These crosses where popular in the Heimat. Tho see if this is a chocolat cross you can try to desolve al little bit in hot water. If not, I realy don't have any idea of what it can be.

                Good luck: Peter
