    Cased RK on EStand

    Maybe it's me, but that case looks too shiny to be a wartime example:

    Looks like a post-war case but would be nice to discuss it here.

    FYI, I am not an interested party, just always keen to learn something new.

    Hi Rich,
    You are more than welcome to have it discussed, Happy to supply other photos in natural light, you will find that the shininess is due to the bright down lights that I photographed it under.

      For what it is worth, I would be comfortable with that case in my collection as an original. I am not a case expert, but I have seen quite a few and this looks period to me from what I can tell from the pictures. -Ger

        I wouldn't be so happy with the case - its clearly a postwar ( 1957 type and era ) case.
        All in all, very hefty price, considering most likely on the KC is a wartime piece
