Hi Beuwulf

Totally out of my league so wait for other opinions

Dont know anything about EKs either but, from the pictures, the spange looks like the well known repro of the attached spange (attributed to Schmidhaussler) which has been discussed in previous threads. There are other differences but, to me the obvious difference are the diagonal lines on the legs of the eagle which are typical for Deumer but not present on this type
