            Using the pic above.

the 800 starts with the "8" towards the top

                  Small SPange.

This one has 2 vert pins that are only about 3/8 " long?

Yikes Bob that combo would give me the heebie jeebies if it were in my collection.

                        Why is that?

                        Please explain

I think the first medal is bogus, and the pin is real

as for the second? not sure

The catch on the 14EK1/Spange combo looks weird to me. Which is odd because you'd think the catch would be the same one that came with the EK1.

And I haven't memorized all the EK1 Spange types but assume it's genuine.

Which one is it? Not a Deumer I recognize...

Yes Bob, the first one. That catch makes me think someone put it together and had to eliminate the original catch on an EK1 to smooth out the joint. Can't see if there's a plate running the entire length which there might be. But that catch really bugs me. Now match that shiney spange to a very worn EK1 and the entire set gives me the heebie jeebies. Plus, I do know a few spanges and that one I'm not familiar with. Finally, the bogus engraving on a rare combo is totally uncalled for. Why mess up a 'good' combo with fake engraving?
