    Screwback opinions

The front pic is terrible. I know. But any red flags on this EK?
    Thank you

    Ek

Without better pictures of the front it is very difficult. The case is not period. Jim

      Hi Jim
The case it's setting on is a riker box with the clear glass on the underside.
Is that brass looking on the back where the pin was attached?

Looks like one of those controversial types that some believe are postwar and other believe are Walter & Henleins.
          Best regards,

Interesting the seller can send a clear pic of the back but not the front.

I dont think there's any deception aimed here, I have problems myself every now and then but I usually look at my pics before I send them.

                  I agree.
I have one of those as well.
It has the same core as W&H ek2 and I don't see anything disturbing in hand.

BUT: lately these ek's are being offered with a replaced core.
                  So: no originals.
Therefor a much better pic is absolutely necessary...

Here's a thread about these crosses.

                      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...Walter+Henlein

It start's with an original frame (most likely ground dug) with a "new" core, shown by a member.
It's still being offered for sale by that member at the very modest sum of 499 E, and authenticity is guaranteed

The rest of the thread is interesting as well, especially the link in #13

I suppose it all boils down to how much the seller is asking and whether you're willing to risk it. Perhaps others here can tell original or fake from these pix, but I sure can't.
