    Nice Picture indeed.

    But I would never pay more then the Price of a damaged EK II for one of these.
    Ofcourse, if I was offered one with a rock solid provenance, then i would pay more. But I would want photographic proof, where the converted EK II without doubt could be identified.

            Nothing on his ribbon bar suggests he served in Spain. So why wouldn't this more accurately be described as a first pattern wound badge?

              Concur.

              I suppose some people might use "Spanish War" to mean "Early style". I have a small grouping that has an early wound badge, but the soldier didn't serve in Spain. It was just the wound badge that was available.
