    Nate,

all Grossmann & Co EKI i´ve ever seen are like the one this thread

Of course i may be wrong but i wouldn´t buy the piece on Pieter´s site.

    Just my 2 cents.

It can well be a orginal Grossman. And made early as the pin set up is more to the WW1 style, both the pin and hinge.

Corners and "1939" are also diferent from "usual" Grossman´s.

Just to note, in that other tread they " Think " it´s a Grossman

I have not seen a markt 11, soon will. I have a EK2 coming this way markt 11.
And the maker mark on the one this is about is a bit unclear.

                Nate,
To me this looks like a WW2 EK1 with a WW1 type pin. That maker mark could be anything. Perhaps it's meant to be an "11", perhaps not.

Pics of Mikael's mm "11" EK2 when it arrives may be of some help in regards to this one.

Personally, if I owned this one I wouldn't throw it in the repro box but for now I'd have some doubts about it (my twisted way of saying I think it's probably okay - but I don't think it's worth the outlay to take the risk).

If you are just after a nice '39 EK1 then it'd probably be best to look elsewhere.

                          Good one George!

Certainly not even close to the topic of this thread.

Personally, I don't think the mark on the pin is supposed to represent a LDO number. For some reason I have a good feeling about this EK1 but there is no way I'd purchase it without knowing much more about it.
