Does this look proper for the K&Q 1939 'font' ??

I am sticking my neck out here but I had a quick look at my '39er RK and the font looks different, not as crisp (in your pic) and the 'tails' of the 9's on this small pic seem to come up too close to the main body of the number. Harry, although I don't own a K&Q I have admired the 'sharpness' of the core to include the numerals BUT as you suggest this just seems flat...surely anything but crisp!Regards,

Not at all! It just 'looked' a bit different to me and frankly it is 'part' of a very unusual cross...

The date looks different than my K&Q RK. The photo is a little fuzzy and it is not up to Dave's standards, so it must be an image pulled from elsewhere.Comment

So you are saying the denazified/renazified cross on Detlev's site is in fact a post war cross, not a wartime one with the swaz removed, with the oakleaves removed and a swaz added? Hmmmmmmm...........................
.......it kind of looks like that, doesn't it?
Does this also mean that my K&Q is not a post war restrike
