i dug a few of my old ek2's and notice that this one mm100 has a raised bit at the top where the ribbon ring is attached to the medal. i did look at the ek pages but didnt find what i was really looking for. is this raised bit normal??

I did see it but it was a bit pricey for me even for a STONE MINT NO QUESTIONS ASKED 100% AUTHENTIC 100. I usually pay $110-$125 for a mint 100 marked cross. at 135 Euros it was a little too rich for even me.
Great Cross though.

I agree, Jim, there are a high # of mint 100's out there. Even the worn ones I have that you can tell saw action in some soldiers pocket still have remnants of frosting in their rim beading (for the most part). I believe it has to do with the quality of the materials used by this maker. Screams quality! Amazing how after 60 years they can still look like they were made yesterday.
