Spanish Cross Question

I thought I saw a photo the other day of a WW2 soldier in black Panzer wrap with a Spanish Cross and no Condor Legion Tank badge.

Is this actually possible or could it be that he was just not wearing the CLTB. I thought that the soldiers really prized these ??

Your "Panzer" guy may have been serving with the Luftwaffe or Kriegsmarine at the time
of the Spanish Civil War & he wouldn't have received a 'TANK' badge, or he may have just been
a 'ground grunt'.

May be he was instructor in a spanish school and then returned in germany and was versed to a panzer unit.
Or he simply lost his badge ....
