    Hello all,

I have a cross here that does not show the commonly found die flaws on the reverse of the cross. My question is, are there authentic examples that lack the presence of the die flaws as they were produced earlier, prior the the development of the flaws? If so, is this one of them or is this just a reproduction?

        Hi william,

I have to agree, its a bad one. Many things wrong with it.

That´s not an original, war time produced cross, IMO!

Thank you for the feedback. Haven't handled a lot of these to say the least

Are there authentic Deschler's without the presence of the die flaws though?

Finish / patina is way off compared to originals.

Yes, the die flaw was barely if at all noticeable on the earliest Deschler's and got more pronounced as time went on, Here's a good one to compare with yours,

                  Best Regards,
                  Michael
