And thanks to Andy and Dave for the fine 'final product' photos. I feel a sense of confidentiality in who gets what here as not everyone wants to show it all so it's up to you guys to post it. Except that is for Mr. Langemarck, my Heinrich Paepcke counterpart!

Today my picture of RKT Heinrich Paepcke arrived. As pictures of this RKT ar so rare I am very pleased with this press photo.
I want to thank Brian, my Heinrich Paepckes brother in arms, who thought of me when finding this picture.

Here are some pictures of the press photo and the RK which was actually awarded to Heinrich Paepcke and which he did wear. I don't think the press photo is retouched in any way, so the RK shown here is the same as in the picture.

I'm glad you have this picture Pascal. This cross was offered to me and I stupidly bought only the Oaks & Cross. I remember that this cross was sold with a wonderful picture of Heinrich sitting on a fence with his cross. The photo should have been passed along to you with the cross when you got it.

Anyway, here's why I am obsessed with this now 2 week project. The description says it all.

                    Brian,

I am sure you are talking about this photo. I would love to have this photo!! Via the seller of the RK I wrote an email to the former owner of the RK which received this picture with the RK when it was first sold. Sadly enough he never replied to my email. As I don't know who the former owner is I can't write any more emails to this collector.
I am sure that he (or probably other collectors) have pictures of Heinrich Paepcke somewhere lying around. Maybe they will even read this thread and maybe they realise that I have been looking for photos of Heinrich Paepcke for a long time and I would be thrilled with even a good scan of such a photo.
I am still living in hope...............

I do have Patuschka's. And at this point only TWO unidentified photos which is darned incredible.

The details from original photos are marvelous compared to those autographed photos which we all covet but are unfortunately copies of copies of copies in many cases.

This one of the RK and PlM are scaled down dramatically as to what you can REALLY see in the detail. Early early RK...
