Shane, congratulations on your new additons to your collecton. Now here comes the dumb arse questions that I have been wanting to ask for a long time. Please remember that this is not my field of collection and I have just ordered Gordon's book.

In simple language, what is the difference between and EKII and a Schinkel EKII sorry but helllllllllp

Thanks guys, very happy am I!

@ Simon the difference between the regular EKs and the Schinkel EK2 is that the Schinkel's were made with ww1 surpluss frames and as such their arms, are narrower and with less of a curve than the Standard 1939 EK2. The makers had hoped to use of most of the left over WW1 frame stocks making the EK2's but the government decided to make a new design for the EK2 thus forcing the manufacturer's to make new frames etc... Gordon's book has an excellent section on these.

      Hope that helps.

Simon, it is an excellent read, in fact I made the mistake of trying to read it before going to bed every night. Remember in School when you had to read for exams, etc... and when you did it at night the boring content put you to sleep within 2 miutes? Well the opposite is true of Gordon's book, very exciting, it could keep you awake for the night wanting to read more!
