    1st pattern EK2 spange. OK?

    G´day Gents,

yesterday I picked up a small group of badges from a dealer here. I had to take the group as it was and in it was this 1st pat. EK2 clasp.
I´ll be looking to sell this here soon and it looks good to me but I´ve noticed that the prongs are not 4 seperate attached pieces but are 2 long pieces that have been soldered along the reverse.
The ribbon is an original piece and has obviously been removed freom a jacket.
    My question:

    Original and accepted type
    Original but repaired
    Out and out fake

Thanks very much for any help.

I could be wrong, but in Gordon's book, these type of hooks were presented and noted as Reproductions if they were not individually soldered onto the reverse. I could be wrong as I'm not an expert with these early type spanges.

        Hi Skip,
Here is my original Juncker early Spange. This spange has the same setup as yours which is normal for these early Junckers. The other early Spange has a different setup.

Hi I don't think the clasp is good,You have noted the prongs are not seperate,But two long ones bent up to look like four. This is MHO.

              Original and accepted type
Here is my original 1st Pattern EK2 spange.

              Cased 1st Pattern EK1 and EK2 spange..Junker??

It also has the identical prong set-up to both the above early pieces...

(In my opinion, I doubt Skips piece will even make it as far as the e-stand.)

I like it too, and would gladly take it off your hand, if you do not want it

Here is a picture of mine, too

                  Best regards

Thanks to all who responded. Some of you had me a little worried there but after seeing the other ones I think its authentic.
Indeed, as Biro noted I have had quiet a few Pms already. Only Association members will be hearing back from me though.
