This photo belongs to George Stimson. I hope you do not mind me using it George The cross is a reproduction from Floch.

        Peter,

I see the similarities which drew you to your conclusion, but I believe on closer comparison, you will see several distinct differences, not the least of which are in the relative frame dimensions. We can discuss others if you would like.

        Regards,
        Brad

            Brad.
            - Look at the coils/ribbing ))))) in the frame, close to the swastika.
            - Look at the fat 1's in 1813.

            Cheers.

Here is a compare. Brad's cross and a cross that is known to be from Floch. We know the Floch EK2 from the frames that are 100% the same as on his EK1's. I have made theme in greyscale so that focus will be on details.

                  Peter,

Thanks for taking the time and effort to make the comparison photos. I have to admit the striking similarities. However, I still see what appear to be clear differences as well. Furthermore, I have done fairly detailed digital comparisons between the photos of the two crosses and there obvious differences between the crosses in the overall dimensions of major features relative to one another. However, all this means is that they were not struck from the same die, not that mine is original. At this point, I would say that it is almost certain that mine is simply a different die used by the good Mr. Floch.

So, in hopes of putting this to rest for good, I repeat my open request to the EK2 collectors out there: Can anyone produce an original Herman Wernstein EK2 for comparison?

Thanks again, Peter. Your knowledge in this field deserves great respect.

                  Regards,
                  Brad
