    Knights Cross case opinions

    Hi guys
first of would like to thank every one for the help and support reguarding the KC i posted . i post this case as a possable gap fill untill i decide wheather to obtain an original , as i have never been one for cased awards , as awards where collected as additions for tunics. like all things in this collecting game once you have one , you want more , is this a post war copy case or an original issue 57 type , what would be a fair price for the latter (57 type ) very best and thanks for looking martin .

Besides being a trashed out case, I did not look any further....not a penny of my money would go for this thing

Better wait for a good period example. Not really hard to come by.
Putting a wartime cross in a 57 case with a fake outer carton... makes no sence at all

You can buy quite respectable cases for about $20-$30 that you could use to display the cross while you hunt for a real one. Morigi sells perfectly satisfactory ones for the purpose. The real ones are not cheap so having something to keep the cross safe while you save is a reasonable idea. I don't think this case is the best idea unless it's super cheap. I don't actually think this is a 57er as it is narrower than the standard S&L. The width reminds me of the Morigi case, and another very cheap ioffer fake that was being offered a while back. I could be wrong so it might be a good idea to post it on the cases forum and they'll be able to let you know straight up

Its part of those cheap Chinese sets being offered nowadays - this one has been battered around to fool collectors.
