Full and Half Vein Juncker EK2 Spangen

The collecting itch is hard to scratch, so I went on this pair. What's nice about them is they pair up real nice, in size/thickness. One prong missing on both, but plenty of finish remaining and uncleaned too. Hope ya like.

        Very nice pieces.

It's a bit confusing but yours are "thick and thin half-veins" not "full and half veins."

The full vein Junckers a) have veins on the short inner feathers and also on the eagle's breast and b) are only found in the rarer 2. Patterns.

        Best regards,
        Streptile

Thanks guys. Part of the "confusing" aspect on Juncker's wares, is the fact they had no probs using their "artistic license". I've collected many of their IAB, so I'll post the couple residing in my collection. As you can see, they also pair up nicely with my Spangen, both in "finish" and metallurgy. Interesting eh?

...and the backsides. IMO, the flat catch one came later than the thin wire variant, I've shown here.

Here's the earliest one I've found, and the "brother" to the one in way better condition below.

The detail on these early eagles are killer. I can imagine what this one would have looked like "new".
