    Souval iron crosses?

    Hi guys,

these are all postwar Souval crosses, right? I just noted slight differences in the crosses, but I´m not really sure, if these are made by Souval. Any help is really appreciated.

    Regards,

You are right - all 3 are postwar Souvals

Not a patch on their wartime ones.

        Hi Michal

        What is Souval about them?

I thought post war Souvals were similar in design to wartime.

These look like post war fakes

I would also say Souval postwar pieces.

These are very nicely patinated, and definitely old. They also share the "Souval-rattle" when you handle them, because the iron core is a bit loose in the frame.

One of the first threads I ever started on this forum was for one of these weird EKs, and I still have it. As long as I've known about this type they've been called Souval postwar pieces, but I'm not exactly sure why.

Souval used their wartime frame for a while after the war. Years later they switched to another frame, but not this one. So when did they use this frame?

I think these could be made by another maker. They are definitely postwar though.

Souvals of any type have never been a collectible IMO. Still just a "Souval" to me. Just MO
