Knights Cross grouping Hptm. Metz Heeres-Art.Abt.1042 (Sf)

    Hello everyone,

I wanted to share some pictures of a late war KC grouping and look forward to your comments. Sorry, over 270 pictures loading! ;-)

Any idea why Metz never received the General or Tank Assault Badge 25?

Wonderful grouping ! Late war Maisel signed RK prelim. doc. & converted EK2 means he probably never received an original RK. Tom

What can a document collector say when a group like this is shown........... nothing but, do you accept kidneys as payment?

Wonderful group you have, nice to see some pics with the PABiS on field gray wrappers and how he was presented with the KC and wore no decoration in his uniform

I wonder why he received the PABiS, not imaging why and also why not he received a numbered badge.

That sure looks like a Knight's Cross on a full length ribbon, on the presentation photo. What happened to the Knight's Cross and his medal bar? The medals are loose in the collection, but mounted in the photos.

Strange things happen during and after the war, maybe the group was splited in the family or some pieces are lost or hidden, you can not imaging how many times the family discovered more pieces after thinking it was all clear.

By the way the one who purchase this group will have a really nice one despite the fact that some pieces are missing.

........ and my offer is still on, a kidney for it......... (note that I have not say neither it will be mine nor human)
