    Iron cross in cloth

    Hi,
Been searching the Threads for Iron cosses in cloth but as there are not many posted do people not have a great deal of faith in them or are they that uncommon,
If anybody has any known originals please post them.when displayed at the correct angle it's a match to the one in the photo.

There used to be a member who's father chose to wear his EK in the cloth version and he had photos of him wearing it. Anyone remember who it was. I think it was something like Frank?

I know that the Ritterkreuzträger Dr. Neumann (Fallschirmjäger) used to wear a cloth version of the EK1.

Just out of interest what is the opinion on this one? Dealers description -

This is a very rare, 100% original cloth version of the Iron Cross 1st Class. The piece is emblazoned with the iconic Black cross edged in silver stitching on the grey cloth background. The cross is inlaid with the swastika and date 1939 in grey stitching. It measures 6 cm x 6 cm. We have had this examined and tested and are sure it is an original un-issued piece.

                It's original, it's unissued, but it's NOT pre-45

It lights up like a christmas tree under blacklight and has NOTHING to do with an original.

3.95 as a reading sign perhaps.....

                  Hi Mark,

Wow. If that photo's indeed untouched, that is a real score you have there. Very rare to see something like that.
                  Best regards,

                            Hi,
Several people have played with the angle when it's at the correct orientation as in the photo it is indeed the same one,it came with all the rest of his paper work soldbuch etc ,tucked into the flap of the soldbuch along with a edelweiss.
