I picked this up recently, I have only ever seen unmarked ones in reference books. This one is 800 marked and has a makers name on the cross that I have not come accross before. It is slightly vaulted, although unevenly so.

George, this is what has me stumped. The small retaining screw is marked L/18, but the engrving above the 800 reads FR SEDLATZEK BERLIN SW68. Is it that L/18 is the maker mark and the name is that of the retailer/jeweler, as this is a private purchase cross?Comment

Friedrich Sedlatzek, BERLIN SW68, Friedrichstrasse 205 must be an jeweler, you can find this name on many medalbars.
