      It looks like this cross have been "burned" when you see the soft outer details.
      I still belive that this cross could be original.

          Thank you all for the well educated opinions.

          Am I close to the truth if I say that this DKiG has been exposed to an elements (rain and damp) for a longer period of time and it has shrunk a bit? If it had been "burned" then there might be more signs of heat damage?
