    Mystery Maker EK 2s?

    These two 1939 EK 2s are ring-marked "137"and "138" respectively:

Does anybody know who these makers are? The two sources I have access to here (The Iron Time and the Association's web page) only list the makers up to "135."

The "138" piece has a line in the beading on the three o'clock arm (on both sides) that could be indicative of a cracked die.

    These Are...

Registration # 137 belonged to J.H. Werner, Berlin and the other, Registration # 138 belonged to Julius Maurer, Oberstein - Maurers "L" # was L / 23 and had JM as its hallmark - I don't have any other information on J.H. Werner.

          George,

My '138' marked EK2 is a dead-on match to yours.

          Eric,

I have been trying to determine the manufacturer of my '138' EK2 for a while. None of my lists show any info. for makers of '137' or '138' marked EK2s. Where did you get your information? Just curious.

          Thanks,

          Calvin

            Info

            Hi Calvin,
"Ancient Chinese Secret"! No, really it came from a book by Robin Lumsden titledMEDALS AND DECORATIONS OF HITLER'S GERMANY Which was published by Airlife Publishing LTD. Shrewsbury, England. It gives the registration #'s out to number 142, along with the L/ numbers, RZM codes and the companys trademark if they had one.

                      I'm surprised.....

.....that we don't have them here on our own list. Perhaps when someone has the time to update the file that they will be included?

Thanks, Erich, for filling in the blanks!
