    EKII Spangen For Opinion

Would appreciate opinions on authenticity & maker of this little guy. Unmarked as far as I can tell.

    Many thanks!

        Hi Scott

Wait for other opinions to be sure but to me (assuming its sittng on a 25mm wide ribbon) it looks identical to my Deumer "Prinzen" (24mm or so) EK II spange. All the "prinzen" examples I have seen have 2 vertical clips instead of the 4 horizontal clips seen on the full size (30mm) spanges and are unmarked.

Here is my Deumer set to compare

        Regards

        JC

It looks like a Deumer Prinzen indeed.
But IMO it misses the sharp detail of known originals.
Will take a better look at my example today and post a pic.

            hí guys
I am not an expert on these EK' spange
            but I do not like
this is a type Deumer two vertical clips
            IMO not good me
            I show what I mean

These differences are very obvious on for me

Thank you all for posting originals to compare. I think you may be right, mine does lack the detail of yours.

                Hi Scott,

It's really hard to judge these from photos sometimes, but yours looks okay to me.
                Best regards,
                Streptile

Looking for ROUND BUTTON 1939 EK1 Spange cases (LDO or PKZ)

                  Hi Scott

I agree with Streptile. Yours looks different from one Sanya posted but, so does mine (note breast feather veins). Other differences (head, flawed 3, and other details) on yours are not outside the realm of acceptable variations due to die wear or moreso, the use of a different die.

Not a Prinzen per say but also attached to illustrate the point is a pict of 2 full size EK 2 spanges supposively by Deumer. The one at left (unmarked) has a fairly different look than the one at right (marked L/11) but I think we are looking at pieces coming from different dies here, rather than an original and a copy

                  Regards

                  JC

but as I said I not understand that these eagles (I now learning)
I just wrote what I did not like from the pictures
I would not take it (due to errors)
                    Thanks

Based on the provided Photos, I would also say that the one Scott show, seems to be a (maybe cast) copy. The details looks rather soft.
But maybe better Photos would tell another story.

Well, I still like it. But without holding it I suppose that's something of a guess.
