EK1 spange 1939 review

IMO this piece is a Eugen Schmidhäußler?

Just ONE of these Spangen has been found in an Eugen Schmidthäußler carton.

Usually, if ONE EK2 is found in a marked Packet and someone tries to make an ID from this one single fact, he is laughed off the forum. But for some reason everyone accepts this piece as a Schmidthäußler. It may be, but there's really not enough evidence for it yet.

This Spange is properly called an unknown maker / possible Schmidthäußler in my opinion.

Not sure if I read you correctly but wether the price is $800 or 400 euros its still cheaper than I paid for mine (also cased) a few years back and its in better condition than mine.

By the way the "elephant skin" textured case with the distinctive eagle you show for this piece is the same case I received mine in and also identical to a number of others I have seen with this type spange so IMO its the correct case for this variant spange: a great set
