KC at the 45th Infantry Division Museum.

Hi guys, found these interesting picture of a group of awards donated to the 45th Infantry Division Museum, in Oklahoma City.

I've been trying find out anything more about it, but still no luck.

I can't tell, but it's not a Juncker loop for sure. Tom

Agree. May be completely put together. Is this a recent exhibit? The term "Knights Cross" (instead of "Knight's Cross") came into general usage through Dietrich Maerz.

When I made a visit to this museum in 2003 the display looked the same; including the title cards. At that time I had the impression the display had been in place for some time. The TR display is a only a small part of a larger, well staged museum in tribute to the Division. I recall that the KC was stunning.

The film "Idiocracy" was originally released as a comedy. Now it has been re-released as a documentary.

"Nazi Insignia" - Very historically accurate.

I can also well imagine that there are plenty of fakes there! The SS "Meine Ehre heisst Treue" clasp for instance.

I live a couple of miles from the museum and will try to go by this weekend. I haven't been there in about 10 years but it's a pretty nice. Funny thing how you go out of your way to visit museums and attractions other cities but sometimes forget what's in your own backyard! I'm a bit skeptical that it's authentic though as the nicer things in some of the museums around here have had a way of ending up missing.

I am posting these pictures for my friend "Gewitter". The cross seems to be an S&L, but I can't make out whether it is an A- or B-Type.
