      Although that main pin shape is reminiscent of Meybauer, it probably wasn't imitating Meybauer. Trawling the internet reveals some Japanese badges with similarly shaped pins so the shape seems consistent with both cultures and a logical choice for the EK?

        Interesting cross and my first thought also was Japanese. Is it made of silver? The photo looks like it is. The pin definitely has the Japanese characteristics. TPK
