Many may have seen this piece at the past SOS. I had this piece on display looking to gather information from collectors whom have more knowledge than I. I had several offers to buy, however until I can affirm if this piece is an original or a fake I will not sell it.

It is made very well. Black wool an velvet combination. Very fine silver thread border.

I like what I see, although I miss the date on the cross.

It looks pretty convincing, but it's always an educated guess because there are several styles and makers, and nothing is really textbook.
Basically you have to have it in your hands, but based on these pics I would say this one is most likely pre-45.

It "May" be good ?? IMO I would not trust one of these unless It was handed to me by the German Vet himself ! Tom
