I've had this cross for quite a while and took it out for a close look and am rather suspicious. I realize the ring is probably not correct, but now think it always had the brass ring because the cross is fake. Any chance it's a Schinkel? It seems to have narrow arms is why I'm suggesting Schinkel. Thanks for your help. Brian

Thanks
Ben, thanks for taking time to give your opinion. I do respect your authority in this field and therefore am pleased to know the cross is Schinkel. I know where there is a 1st class Schinkel, but the shop owner refuses to set a price. I guess it's the hunt that partly makes this hobby exciting. Take care, Brian

You're welcome!
it's all about learning and helping each other, it makes collecting more fun.
A shopkeeper that refuses to mention a price?
That's odd..
Try to get a picture and post it here so you can get a quote on the value.
There are several makers and the prices range from about 500 up to 1000+ for the rare makers.
And you are right: hunting makes the hobby fun !
Best regards,
Ben
