How interesting. Could he have bought a half ring RK as a second or were these only available for awarding?

When visiting him in 1981, the Rk w/Oaks he had was not this type. The one he showed me was a S&L 800 marked cross. Maybe he had two crosses at one time ? Also saw his 57 RK w/Oaks. Tom
