According to the book "The Knights Cross of the Iron Cross and its Higher Grades" by Dietrich Maerz page 271; Every genuine set of Swords from Godet has seven dots in this area (cross guard), six in a circle and the seventh in the middle of the circle.
As I count the dots on your set of swords cross guard area, I see seven dots in a circle and the eighth dot in the middle of the circle.... OOPS!!! Too many dots...
"... but what I had a little hope for was that maybe it could be a -57."
Oaks can never "be a -57".

You should write up a 20 page thread and have it pinned in the '57 section. It would save you the trouble of constantly repeating your never ending tirades and spares the rest of us from having to read them.
Haha, relax guys.
I bought these for some years ago in a group with other things, I think all of it bad. AND I did not pay much for the junk (have not most of us been through that in the beginning?).
I do some clean up now and just want clarify that it is just junk. This is really not my field of collecting (photos and docs) and the items I bought in the beginning of my collecting disease needs to be sorted out. Too much work though to start investigate every single thing, more easy to ask you guys with your great knowledge.
