    New EK2 (what about these 3's ?)

    Hello Guys,
I just got this EK2 today. It is mm 1. The more I looked at it I noticed something strange. The 3's are different, front to back. What do you make of it?
    Thanks, Brian

It´s not Junker or wachtler/Lange. Some how i dont like the 1 on back side. And the date on front dont have to match the back side!. As there is a front and back side tool for the maker.

                  Brian,

One of my favorite EKII's. It's just fine. Dates, frame, swaz.

If you don't want it, I'll take it off your hands.

                      Hi Trent,

Like Brian said, there's some crud smeared on it. The shape and spacing of the numbers in the date look good to me though.

Brian, take some dish soap and gently clean it under some tap water. Then dry it thoroughly with a hair dryer. Let's take a look at it then.

Maybe Master George would care to jump in.

EDIT: Brian, one other thing, when you take the new photo, lay the cross down so we can get an idea of the height of the numerals. Yours do look a tad low, but you are also taking a straight on shot and the cross looks a little grimey.

One thing I like most about these is the heavy construction. At least with my cross, it's noticably heavier than my other EK's. I'm not sure how to describe it. It's almost like an S&L 1st Class, very substantial.
