I just got my copy and all I could say was already stated by Trevor (streptile). An extremely valuable and indeispenseable addition to the library of every collector of the Iron Cross and even to every collector interested in the history of the Second World War. Worth every penny and most likely will never be surpassed.
I really want a copy! delivery to the UK is so expensive - more than half the cost of the book, will book sellers in the UK hold a stock?
Nick-J, be happy that you do not live in Denmark then.
We pay VAT and tax of the books also. And when the value of the packet/book is calculated, the post office will also add the shipping cost to the total value + a handling fee.
12% import tax, and then these 12% is added to the packet and shipping cost, and then the 25% is added to that total value.
So this book is going to cost me more then 200$ before I have it in my hand.
147,45$ (Book + shipping)*1,12 (Import tax) *1,25 (VAT)=206,5$
And besides the 206,5$ the post office will add another 30$ in handling fee.
But I am pretty sure that it will be well worth the Investment.
Just received my copy, very impressive. The quality is excellent and just quickly glancing through it for a few minutes I can already tell it will be a great addition my reference library. I look forward to reading it tonight.
Congrats Brian, well done.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
New Book - The German Close Combat Clasp of World War II

Nick - At this point, there is nothing specific in place for sellers in Europe to stock the book. I have found that first class airmail (as opposed to USPS Priority) to Great Britain is about $37 which includes tracking and should take about a week or so. So, I am hoping that the fee is reasonable enough, especially considering the weak dollar relative to the GBP (and Euro).
