KC Group photographed in light box

    Greetings, All.
I've posted pics of this KC before. It's Xavier Marzluf's. But a friend came over to take some pics of medals and daggers using a light box and decent digital camera. And what a difference that makes!
Here are a few of his shots.

I have to echo Tom, the grouping is beautiful. Among RK groupings, Luftwaffe Pilot groupings seem to be the most common - makes sense because quite a few pilots had them. Among the ground forces, mostly you will see officers etc. But there is something to be said for an enlisted man's RK grouping.

First off, many officers earned their RK's through leadership, enlisted men on the other hand earned theirs through gallant acts of bravery. (Not that officers were not brave, there were quite a few that were!) But enlisted men, always.

Regarding the light box set up - very well done. Appearances can go a long way. This photo series is nothing short of what you might see in a book.

                  Cheers!

Not my field of collect, ..... but does Xaver Marzluf obtain KC posthumous, as He died 03/06/1944 and RK entry in soldbuch is dated 19/07/1944?

Yes, he was killed in action, 1 day before his 34th Birthday. I ASSUME that he was killed performing the act for which he was awarded the KC.
