LDO Sprange

Hello,
I am no expert, but on page 19 of Lumsden's Third Reich Militaria he shows such a EK1 Bar with this pin. He calls it "an official LDO replacement Bar with a needle pin". I can't see any details thaat would distinguish this example from his.

I have quite a few pics of that one in my 'fakes' file...

@Rob: the "leather" structure is not correct, it has veins but should have a more pebbled look, the silver imprint is slightly different and the pushbutton should be square for a BH Mayer case.

@Egret: I cannot really comment to what you say unless I actually see the picture in the book. That pin/hinge (at least a very similar one) is ok for Deumer clasps, but not for the BH Mayer, in my experience. For me, that EK1 clasp is bad.
