Because then you could get the "Body of Christ" and the Iron Will to go along with it!!!!

I get the feeling it's just a made up item...Interesting but a farce!

Isn't that the chalice with the ashes of Eva Braun?

          Goering's Martini shaker?

          Seriously, how about an urn?

That is pretty neat looking, as far as cups go.

Eva didn't get cremated outside the Reichschancellery....just a nasty rumor started by the commies.

The words on the cup are in German...they say "Do this in remembrance of me."
I do not think it was Eva's Ern, or a coffee ern, nor a martini shaker.
                It is real gold inside.
                Still any thoughts.
Would they put a Iron Cross on a gift for someone who was leaving a unit?

Chap...I'm sure it's a real Chalice and the words at Mass are as you have taken from the cup....many of us have heard them BUT although the 'romantic' in me wants to believe...I just can't....believe that this IC was added to the Chalice during the war and or close (time wise) therafter..

Surely, Catholics were offered Communion prior to an offensive BUT could a Catholic Priest accept or adhere a SWAZ. to the most Holy of cups?

All meant well and in the interest of discussion..
                  Regards,
                  Dave

Actually, it says 'In remembrance of my service time', so it's more like a souvenir or gift. This is not a biblical quote.
