This should have been mentioned at the beginning, I had thought that this ribbon really set off the cross, made it a distinct cross that was actually worn, as opposed to the ubiquitous mint cased ones. It is not even mentioned in the sales thread but mentioned here by a third party.

And that was my first impression of it when looking at the photos from the original source for it. I still think the ribbon sets it off nicely and it has a somewhat dirty, used and fieldworn look about it.

This piece is still for sale BTW.

Sorry ...I see only the photos below.

It takes me wonder that the ribbon is a burtal fakes with ...... intentions
It takes me wonder that the cross have flaws*
It takes me wonder that the cross has an unfinished loopeye
It takes me wonder that the cross has a non dipping 3core
It takes me wonder that the swastika is NOTFRAMEHIGH
It takes me wonder that the swastika not contact the inner frame corners
It takes me wonder to see a O in the left front arm
It takes me wonder to see so many points of St&Ldiscussions unify in one cross

In the past I did hear of the old fellows. They told me that this crosses are pretty post45 until 1955 Steinhauer & Lück for veterans.

But, now I have learned, that this crosses are fine original ST&L wartime crosses.
            Thank you very much!

You don't want to know what I wonder about ....

I suggest you (finally) come up with some, at least a little bit, of solid and factual evidence for your "wondering" or please just disapear again!

And as a friendly advise: if you or your old friends don't like it, don't buy it. Life can be so easy!

                1813-Close up

I've been trying to learn to identify how the Non-dipping- v. Dipping-3 (1813) on these A-Type crosses to look like and took a zoom photo of the 1813 date of the cross discussed in this thread. To me, this particular cross which is now in my collection, has the non-dipping 3 version. Am I correct with this ID by any chance? Furthermore, upon further scrutiny, it appears that the ''8'', in my cross, dips more than the rest of the numerals and none of these numerals are alligned with one another.
