    Klein und Quenzer EK 2

    Hello alltogether,

    i would like to have some input for this Iron Cross 2nd class from Klein & Quenzer AG. It came in a red case with a full lenght ribbon and a ribbon bar.

              Yep, i had my doubts too. But i got it for the price of an uncased EK, so it doesn´t matter. But maybe there are more of these cases around? Anyone knows, what medal belongs to the case?

                Yeep a normal nice K/Q , never seen that case before but the inprint looks like its for a cross in some type. It can well be for that EK.

                  Any maker marks on the bottom part in the case?? if its possibel to take it out.

                    No Mikael, no markings at all. The rims of the EK fit perfectly in that shape. I cannot get it out, without damaging it.

                        I won´t. I have just made a blacklight test and the white silk in the cover and hinge glows like hell. A sure sign of postwar in this case?

                          Yeep if that "hinge" white cardbore around the bottom part glow and also the white fabric. Thats not good, and yes it is made after the war.
