    EK2 marked 48

    Hello,
I bought this from a dealer in Germany several years ago. The ring is marked 48 for Robert Feix of Gablonz, a maker that I haven't found on any list of EK2 makers. I'm sure the cross is original and the mark looks original to me as well. The core is magnetic. Can some of you EK experts take a look and tell me what you think?
    Thank you,
    Dale

IMO an original Deumer EK with a post war stamp.

Hi Dale, the cross are not on the makerlist of known manufacturer

        I found this thread

        http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ighlight=mm+48

Better to wait for the experts, cross might be ok but postwar mark on
        The ring

I agree that the cross is an original Deumer. When the cross was ring-stamped is anyone's guess, IMO.

It's a real shame about the stupid stamp, BUT it's a very nice EKII otherwise. Other than cutting the number out and making the ring slightly smaller (A DISASTROUS THING TO DO OBVIOUSLY), the number is now part of it's story.
