    Early Juncker replacement 1914 EKI...

I just received this cross and would like to share it here. It has the early Juncker 3-flaw crunch-bead frame, and AWS's 1914 type 3 core.

Ah ... very nice EK1 and set .
Just love those 3 flaw frame Junckers .... the frame of study at the moment .
Can you confirm traces of lacquer on the frame or disk ? Is the core Ni plated iron ... and is the frame flange burnished or only polished ?
Is it possible to get a good larger close up of the lower area shown in the picture .

            Thanks Douglas

                  Thanks Robert :
Should have done this first ... exact area of interest . Did not find the picture until now and taken long time ago with a cheap camera .
Does yours display this 'split bead' set up ?

In my opinion, there's not an excat match between these two.
Similarities yes, but not a100% match.

That is good enough - Robert .... no doubt your 3 flaw frame does not have the split corner bead .

                        Cheers, Douglas

                          Douglas,

Can you show a full large photo of the cross you took your corner (with the split bead) photo from? I'm interested in seeing the entire cross and the progression of the three flaws. This particular EKI shows the flaws in their infancy compared to the many Juncker 3-flaw EKII's I've owned in the past.

I'll post this photo of the inner beading in the event you may post one also to compare...
