Question About Wear of EK 1.Kl. Spange

Hi,

Can someone please describe to me the proper wear of the EK 1.Kl. spange? Would it go in place of the EK 2.Kl. spange on the 1914 EK ribbon, or would there be two separate ribbons, one for each spange?

The First Class Spange would be worn on the left breast pocket above the 1914 EK 1.

Thank you George and Chris for the quick responses and photo. The photo helped jog my memory, as I have seen this combination before on several uniforms. One more question: Would the award of the KvK 1.Kl. preclude the award of this spange?

No, the KVK 1st class would not preclude the EK1 spange, just the EK2 spange.
