Your oppinion about the EK2

Here is the cross I bought recently.
What is your oppinion about it and is it possible to name the manufactory?
It come with the document issued 1940 to man from 8.(M.G.)/Jnf.Rgt.518 - if anybody can tell me what is that mean as I'm lost to do it.

Its hard to say what the maker are. I recomend do search here and you will find a tread whit EK2 makers and then search for each one and compare. And about the document show a pic off it and i think Frank the moderator can translate some off it.

Cross looks fine.

The 8(mg)/jnf 518 means this guy was a soldier in the 8th machine gun kompanie of infanterie regiment 518.

Thanks ALOT for the information and your oppinion about the cross.
The core is magnetic and and the cross has 3 peace constraction.
Hope to here more oppinions form the members and maybe anyone can help with maker?
