RK, OL and docs from Maj. Claus Breger

A collector in Norway clames to have the original RK, OL and other docs and decorations to Major Claus Breger, given to him by the family.

The RK is supposed to be a S&L "800-4" and the oaks are marked "65"(!). The lot is pictured in this link with some pictures from his collection.

    What do you think?

Ok, so the "65" marked OL is a problem and the formal RK award doc looks to be trash but what about a 800-4 marked S&L?

                Sorry. No other pictures available.

So I understand you are considering the "800-4" a wartime production?

The name on the mappe seems to be too large and the prelim Rk and oak docs are the usually encountered fake style BUT as has been said to give a firm opinion better photos are needed

So, if the elderly couple hands over their most valuable historic items from a close relative stating it is all 100% genuine, would this be it? ...65-marked OL and to say at least some very questionable docs?

                      I think not.

                          The documents are crap.
If the markings on the KC and OLs are what you say, I say crap to this, too!

I have never heard of Oakleaves by '65' (K&Q), so it would be interesting to see such a thing. If the KC is properly marked 800-4 with incused numbers, it can be real. Again, though, we need better photos, and since you say none are available, that's the end of this discussion....

I mean the OLs, but looking at the rest of the grouping, the chance that the KC is original, is not very big. IMO.
