      There seems to be stamp a MM in the ribbon ring.
      you could look to see what numbers would be there.

      But I would be shocked, if Plaut got the maker wrong

        The partial maker mark is hard to read ???
        That is as far as I could enlarge .... wonder if he can make it out .

                I really can't make out the MM based on these Pictures.

                I have tried to invert the colours and also use B&W, but nothing helps.

                Any of you can make it out?

                    Why not take some more shots in lower light, then bump em up ...w/photoshop. I think this needs a second opinion ...first stabilize the camera to not move, then get the ring in position so you get a good shot in better focus ....this core reminds me a lot of the 5 marked RK I found a handful of years back...with a leaning back 1, , and numbers verys similar....hope you take more shots . Nice cross by the way, and I hope it can be identified....
