Good heavens. It might be for a 57er occasion as I've not found pictures where the RK was worn with a tie during the TR period, (which is not to say that it wasn't), but the very bad cut of the tie (completely off centre etc) without the presence of a knot raises interesting questions. I look forward to hearing what others have to say and seeing any period shots of an RK being worn with this set up.

The stitching of the ribbon and the hole for the RK certainly reminds me of the way the 57er RK is often worn, but not the tie. You would have to look for one of the eras when wide ties were being worn. 30s-40s, late 60s-70s, late 90s, 00s. We seem to be on the end of the latest era now. Narrower ties are on the way back.

According to the eBay seller it should have belonged to Mühlenkamp.
He tried selling it for +2.000 Euro, but has now dropped down to +500 Euro.
Can't comment on originality nor provenance, but an interesting item.

Do believe this was worn below a jacket and above the shirt.
According to the seller he used to wear it with his KC and oaks.

All in all very plausible, but at +500 Euro a gamble for any collector.

            Very Unusual Indeed!

            Gentlemen,

That's a first time I got to see that weird setup for a special Knight's Cross Holder occasion! Used after World War II?
