        It is a fake, the first LDO code starts with L/10. Jim

                This is certainly worth holding onto as it's a copy of a possible good one, but as Streptile pointed out to me in that thread and as Jim has stated already in this thread, the LDO number is too low. L/4 is fake. This could become a dangerous fake if the L/4 was removed simply because of the possible findings on the other thread.

                        Guys,

                        I don't know jack about these spanges, but the spange in this thread appears to have prongs that are recessed into the spange and the prongs on the spange from Giels thread are attached on the surface of the award. Isn't it possible that they are not the same?

                          The raise L/4 in this case makes this Spange a fake . As already said here the number L/4 was not given out and not used on originals .
