Juncker iron cross clasp second class

    Hi guys,

I was asked to put this piece on the e-stand up for discussion. In my opinion a very rare and very early iron cross clasp. Unfortunately one prong is missing...

    Regards,

    Daniel

Textbook Juncker all the way. Too bad about the missing prong.

Daniel, if you believe in the fact that unmarked pieces can not be attributed to a maker, why do you call this Juncker then without an L/12 stamp?
      Kind regards,
      Giel

Daniel must be in the teeny tiny minority of Germans that believe it is impossible for two different makers to be using IDENTICAL dies to make these spanges. I agree 100% that this is an unmarked Juncker. If two makers were involved, we would see differences in the obverse design as I firmly believe that no two dies can be 100% identical, even if they come from the same master. Why Juncker chose to mark some, and leave others unmarked; I don't know.

I would love to see your marked example. I have seen only one other 1. Pattern with this mark (I think Ben owns it).

I honestly never thought about this until now, I would be surprised if I stated this somewhere here on the forum.
