    Embroidered RK

    Hello,
This has sat in a frame on my desk for more than 30 years, but I have never really thought about it. I feel sure that it is a relatively modern fantasy piece, but the workmanship is very fine. Does any body know where (Pakistan/India?) and when it may have been made? I think I was given it in 1975 or so, with no explanation. It does look fine in a frame, I think that that, decoration, may be it's purpose, particularly given the high honour it represents. But, as said, have no real idea.
    Thank you for looking,
    Kerry

Been collecting since the 1960's and have never seen anything like that. But it is a very interesting item and certainly well detailed and carefully crafted and I would certainly display it as you have.

Thank you gentlemen, I am now a little wiser. It still looks good on my desk as well.
        Regards,
        Kerry.

The different stitches used to represent different things such as the loops on the ribbon and shape of the sword blades is very well done. I nice modern piece which is now not so modern. 1970s makes it at least 40 years old.
