Post war S&L

Would anyone here like to take a guess as to approx. when this was made?

It appears to be an S&L frame with a non-magnetic core. All in all it is a very nice looking piece even though not an original

Almost a collectable in it's own right?? If it's pre-1957? BTW there is no silver stamp, but it came in a case that might or might not be original (I have to photograph and post that as well)
