    Fledgling Kriegsverdienst Collection

Good evening, here's a photo of my recent Kriegsverdienst awards ... hope you like them.

The Next-of-Kin Cross of Honour arrived today so kind of sneaked into the shot. The KVKIIoS is unmarked but the center is really thick and the medal itself a deep bronze,

the KVKIImS is marked '49' both are tombak.

Somewhere packed away I have a zinc KVKIImS with very little finish left and a KVM with the edge customised so I'm wanting to get an example of each type in each material.

Hope you enjoy these lowly awards ...

    Cheers, Ian.

Cheers Nick, gradually building sets ... all the KVKs, Iron Crosses, Hindenburg Crosses, campaign medals, Mother's Crosses, civil awards and then moving on to the long service awards ... obviously up to a level I can afford.

Very nice. I have one of each of those except the Hindenberg cross. It gets more expensive from here.

I'm only skipping along the surface Tony, I know that. I'm enjoying studying original things 'in hand' again for the first time in 18 years, getting the feel for them, reading and learning everything I can.

It's quite refreshing actually after the shark pool of SS militaria

Cheers Ross, I'm not in it to sell in the short term (hopefully) I want something other than a house and an old VW campervan that I can have an interest in and hopefully share with any future grandchildren we may acquire
